Can I open this AGPL saving account in USD?

No, you can only open this savings account in VND. Please contact us to discuss other options available in other currencies.

I need to close my AGPL saving account before the end of its term. Can I do this?

Yes. We understand that these things happen. We will pay you back the remaining principal as well as interest at the non-term rate of 1% for actual length of the deposit. However, there will be a penalty, and the life insurance policy will expire when the account closes.

Is there an age limit on who can open AGPL saving account?

Yes, you must be between the ages of 18 and 60, and you must not be older than 61 when your savings account matures.

Can a foreigner open this type of account?

Yes, you just need a valid passport with a visa that does not expire before the end of the chosen term. If you are a national who doesn't require a visa, then you just need to make sure your passport is valid for the term of the chosen term.

Do I need to be an existing TPBank customer?

All you need to open this savings account with us is:

  • National ID card or Passport (for foreigners, passport and/or visa must be valid up until end of savings term)
  • A minimum deposit of 500,000 VND
  • Request for insurance policy
  • Card showing proof of signature (such as a card from another bank) for first time customers

Yes. You can make late deposits except for the last scheduled deposit if you registered for periodic deposits. You can make late deposits up to the last 31 days of the term if you registered for flexible deposits. Amounts deposited late will only accrue non-term interest for the actual number of days deposited into the savings account.

What do I need to do to open an AGPL saving account at the counter?

  • You will need to provide these documents to the teller: legal National ID/Passport or equivalent ID documents and fill in TPBank Signature card. After that, follow teller's guidance.

If you are existing TPBank customer:

Can I get passbook's final settlement at diferent branch of deposit?

Yes, you can get passbook's final settlement at any TPBank's branch

If I forget to get passbook's final settlement, how will TPBank process with my saving?

Base on your final settlement plan chosen when opening passbook, TPBank will rollover your saivng or transfer the principal and interest to your current account or your interest account.
