Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TPBank) announced that June 12 is the last registration date to receive the right to receive dividends in shares at the rate of 39.19%. The ex-rights date is 9/6.
Accordingly, TPBank will issue nearly 620 million shares to pay dividends to shareholders, increasing charter capital by a maximum of VND 6,198 billion.
The source of money used to increase capital is VND 6,199 billion. In which, in addition to 2,102 billion dong from profit in 2022, the bank also deducts 1,536 billion dong from accumulated undistributed profit until 2021 and 2,561 billion dong from share premium.
After completing the share issuance, TPBank's charter capital will increase from VND 15,817 billion to VND 22,016 billion.
Previously, this plan to increase charter capital was approved by the State Bank of Vietnam and the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of TPBank.
At the meeting, answering questions of shareholders about the reason for not increasing capital more, Chairman Do Minh Phu said that the dividend payment and capital increase must be considered based on the equity that can pay dividends, increase capital. capital. TPBank's management has balanced, found that the increase of 39% is appropriate and the rest must be reserved to serve business plans.
“As of December 31, 2022, TPBank has more than 32 trillion equity, so we can still increase it in the next years,” said Mr. Phu.
Previously, TPBank spent nearly VND 4,000 billion to pay cash dividends to shareholders at the rate of 25% (shareholders who own 1 share receive VND 2,500) in April 2023.
Many banks have announced to close the list of shareholders to pay dividends recently.
Recently, HDBank has closed the list of shareholders entitled to receive 10% cash dividend on May 30, 2023. Shareholders named on the list at the last registration date will receive 1,000 VND/share. Expected date of dividend payment to shareholders is 12/06/2023.
With more than 2.5 billion shares outstanding, HDBank will spend more than 2,500 billion dong to pay dividends to shareholders. In addition, the bank also plans to pay a 15% stock dividend in the near future.
ABBank also closed the list of shareholders on May 31 to pay a stock dividend at the rate of 10%.
Also this week, ACB will close the list of shareholders entitled to receive dividends in 2022 on June 2, 2023.
According to the plan approved by the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders and the Board of Directors, ACB will pay dividends in 2022 at the total rate of 25%. In which, the bank will pay a cash dividend at the rate of 10%/share, ie 1 share will receive 1,000 VND. Payment date is 12/6/2023. With more than 3.37 billion shares outstanding, the size of this cash dividend payment of ACB is more than 3,377 billion dong.
Thus, after 8 years, ACB shareholders will receive cash dividends. The last time ACB paid a cash dividend was in 2015 at the rate of 7% (shareholder owning 1 share received 700 VND). With nearly 896 million shares outstanding at that time, ACB then spent more than 627 billion dong to pay 2014 dividend.
In addition, ACB also pays a 15% stock dividend, which means that the owner of 100 shares will receive 15 new shares. The expected issue volume is more than 506 million shares. Upon completion, ACB's charter capital will increase from VND 33,774 billion to VND 38,840 billion.
